Live SEO case study
The newsroom is the proof.
DavidWeaver.codes is building and growing DWC News — a real publication where every story ships with a working interactive tool — using exactly the technical SEO, content strategy, internal linking, measurement, and iteration offered to clients. Instead of a slide deck, you get a public experiment you can watch: pages getting indexed, earning impressions, attracting clicks, and turning readers into customers.
Ground rule: nothing on this page is estimated. Numbers appear only after they exist in a verifiable export (Search Console, analytics, Stripe). Where there is no data yet, the page says so.

02 · Article + Utility performance
Do the tools earn their keep?
Every story ships with an interactive utility. These metrics track whether those tools get used, shared, cited, and whether they turn readers into clients. Not yet measured means exactly that.
Published utilities

The per-story ledger starts with the first published article-and-tool pair: article, embedded utility, primary query, impressions, clicks, tool starts and completions, shares, backlinks, AI citations, leads — and what was learned.
03 · The log
What happened, what worked, what didn't.
Growth timeline
Every meaningful event lands here with a date: launch, Search Console verification, first indexed story, first impression, first click, first lead.
Top-ranking stories
Once stories rank, the best performers are listed here with their queries and positions — with Search Console exports as evidence.
What produced results
Honest wins only — changes that measurably moved impressions, rankings, or conversions, with the receipts.
What failed
Failures get published too — that's the point of doing this in public. Expect entries here; SEO without failed experiments isn't experimentation.
Being tested next
- → Publish the first properly sourced stories and submit the news sitemap in Search Console.
- → Verify indexing of the newsroom hub, category, and article URLs.
- → Establish the baseline impression and click report for the first full week.
04 · Methodology
How the numbers are made.
- · Search metrics come from Google Search Console exports for the davidweaver.codes property, filtered to /news/ URLs.
- · Traffic and conversion counts come from the site's analytics events (news_to_seo_click, proof_to_package_click, proof_to_contact_click) and Stripe records.
- · Numbers are updated by hand from real exports. The update date above changes only when the data does.
- · Nothing on the case-study page is estimated. If a metric has no verified value yet, the page says so.
