The bet
A story's price should be a conversation, not a paywall. BookReader asks listeners what the book was worth — floor of ninety-nine cents, ceiling of their gratitude.
The build
NextAuth identity, Neon Postgres, S3 audio delivery, Stripe taking whatever number the listener chooses. A daily bestseller chart recomputes from actual listening totals — there's a backfill script for the stats because charts you can't trust are decoration. The landing page opens like a film title card, because these are cinematic audiobooks and the front door should say so.
The thread it weaves
My books, my narrations pipeline, my platform. The publishing thread again — this time with sound.
