Standard chess with Magic Move special abilities layered on top. A 3D board, an AI opponent, an Elo ranked ladder. The twist only works because the chess underneath is real.

The Honest Lesson

A rules engine is a spec you can't argue with. Chess has right answers, and the engine has to produce them. That forced correctness before content — I couldn't fake a legal move, so I couldn't fake anything.
